- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, home state, password, and the plan you select when you register.
- Ticket information — the details of a citation you submit, including the state, citation number, court, court date, alleged violations, and any photos or documents of the ticket you upload.
- Driver information — for Family plans, the names and contact details of secondary drivers you add.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number; we retain limited billing details such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card.
- Communications — messages you send us, including support requests and contact-form submissions.

- Usage and device data — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and general interaction with the Services, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To connect you with an independent, licensed attorney to handle a submitted ticket.

- With the assigned attorney or law firm. When you submit a ticket, we share the information needed to handle your case — including your contact details and the ticket photos and documents — with the independent attorney or law firm assigned to it.
- With our payment processor. Payment details are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy.
- With service providers. We use trusted vendors for hosting, cloud storage, email delivery, and similar functions, who may process your information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- For legal and safety reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Traffic Ticket Buddy, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Ticket Photos and Documents
Photos and documents you upload for a ticket are treated as sensitive. They are stored using encryption at rest, and access is limited to the attorney or law firm assigned to your case and authorized Traffic Ticket Buddy administrators. We use these materials only to handle your case and do not use them for any unrelated purpose. We retain ticket photos and documents only as long as needed to provide the Services and meet legal requirements, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

You may access or update your account information through the member portal, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
